Southeastern Equipment Company is seeking a Field Service Technician responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy equipment at customer sites. You will troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, document work orders, and communicate status to customers and team members.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years in heavy equipment repair, and the ability to read schematics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of experience in diesel, ag, auto, or heavy equipment repair preferred.
• Technical degree in Diesel, Heavy Equipment, or related field a plus.
• Strong understanding of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals.
• Welding and cutting torch experience preferred.
• Must have or be able to obtain DOT physical certification.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-service mindset.

Responsabilités

• Diagnose and repair heavy equipment in the field.
• Recreate customer complaints and recommend additional repairs.
• Perform inspections and communicate needed parts and materials.
• Complete repairs safely and efficiently within quoted time.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Enter accurate notes and time entries into electronic work order software.
• Follow company procedures for daily documentation and reporting.
• Communicate clearly with customers about equipment status and repairs.
• Conduct thorough equipment inspections and identify additional service needs.
• Support the service team in quoting and planning repair work.
