Job summary

Vermeer All Roads in Chesapeake, VA is seeking an experienced Field Technician - Heavy Equipment to diagnose and repair Vermeer machinery at client sites. Travel required to customer locations; you will work independently and make an immediate impact.

This full-time role offers a schedule with no nights or weekends, competitive hourly pay, and production bonuses, plus benefits and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience with hydraulics, hydrostatics, and electrical troubleshooting.
• Welding experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Service, repair, and recondition Vermeer equipment as directed by the Service Manager.
• Diagnose malfunctions in hydraulics, electrical, and hydrostatic systems.
• Perform welding and fabrication work as needed.
• Recommend appropriate repairs and prepare cost estimates.
• Maintain accurate records of all repairs performed.
• Stay current with industry trends and technical advancements.
• Communicate with the factory for technical support.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Vermeer All Roads is searching for an experienced Heavy Equipment Field Mechanic to join our team. Put your skills to work by traveling to our client's location to diagnose and repair Vermeer machinery and components in a timely manner. This position enables you to work independently and make an immediate impact!

Compensation & Schedule

• Hourly pay: $28–$40 (based on experience)
• Production bonuses available
• Full-time schedule with flexibility – no nights or weekends
