Job summary

All Roads in Laurel, DE is seeking a Heavy Equipment Technician Mechanic to diagnose, service, and repair Vermeer and related equipment. You will work in the shop and travel to customer sites as needed; a clean driving record is required.

The role offers competitive hourly pay of $25-$37, production bonuses, and a $5,000 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates; benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401k, PTO, and paid training.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude with hydraulic and electrical diagnostic capability.
• Previous experience working on heavy equipment or heavy-duty trucks.
• Proficient ability to document in CDK.

Responsibilities

• Service, repair & recondition Vermeer equipment.
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions including hydraulic & electrical experience.
• Welding as needed.
• Recognize and recommend appropriate repairs to the Service Manager.
• Create accurate repair estimates, CDK experience a plus.
• Communicate with OEM/factory for technical assistance.
• Other duties as assigned.

Description

Are you a self-starter who enjoys working with diesel engines and problem solving? We are excited to bring on a new addition as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic. This role will diagnose, service, and repair Vermeer and related construction equipment. If you’re mechanically inclined, hands‑on, and ready to build a career with a supportive team, we want to hear from you today! This role will work in the shop but also travel to customer locations as needed so a clean driving record is required.

Compensation & Schedule

• $25-$37 per hour (based on experience)
• Production bonuses available
• Sign on bonus up to $5000 for qualified candidates

Key Responsibilities

• Service, repair & recondition Vermeer equipment
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions including hydraulic & electrical experience
• Welding as needed
