Job summary

Construction Material Testing in Duluth, MN, is seeking field technicians to sample and test fresh concrete, perform slump, air, and temperature tests, and document results daily. You will travel to sites, work outdoors, and support safety and quality standards.

No prior experience required; we train and sponsor certifications such as ACI Field Grade I and NICET levels as you progress. This is outdoor, physical work with meaningful impact on safety and quality on the jobsite.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
• Comfortable outdoors at construction sites in varied weather.
• Reliable, detail-focused, and coachable; willingness to learn.
• ACI Field Grade I and nuclear gauge certifications are a plus, sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Sample and test fresh concrete per ASTM C172, C143, C231, C1064, and C31.
• Run field density and moisture tests per ASTM D6938.
• Prepare clear daily field reports tied to placement locations.
• Maintain gauge standardization, cure boxes, and chain of custody.
• Communicate results to superintendents on the spot.
