Job summary

Construction Material Testing is hiring field technicians to sample fresh concrete, run slump, air, temperature, and cylinder sets, and verify soil compaction using a nuclear density gauge. Training is provided and certifications are sponsored as you progress.

You’ll work outdoors at various sites, document results the same day, and communicate findings to superintendents on site. No prior experience required; we sponsor ACI Field Grade I and NICET Level I/II as you advance.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Comfortable outdoors in varying site conditions.
• Reliable, detail-first, and coachable.
• ACI Field Grade I and nuclear gauge certification a plus – we sponsor both.

Responsibilities

• Sample and test fresh concrete per ASTM C172, C143, C231, C1064, and C31; run field density and moisture tests per ASTM D6938; prepare clear daily field reports tied to placement locations; maintain gauge standardization, cure boxes, and chain of custody; communicate results to superintendents on the spot.
• Ensure accurate field tests and timely reporting at multiple sites.
• Maintain equipment, observe safety protocols, and document results per quality system.
