Job summary

Construction Material Testing is hiring field technicians to sample fresh concrete, run slump, air, temp, and cylinder sets, and document results the same day. Training is provided, and the company pays for certifications, making it ideal for entry-level technicians seeking growth in construction materials testing.

You will work outdoors on site, driving a company vehicle, and report results to superintendents, while learning ACI Field Grade I and NICET distinctions as you progress.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather.
• Reliable, detail-first, and coachable; willingness to learn.
• ACI Field Grade I and nuclear gauge certification a plus; company sponsors both.

Responsibilities

• Sample and test concrete per ASTM C172, C143, C231, C1064 and C31.
• Run field density and moisture tests per ASTM D6938.
• Prepare clear daily field reports tied to placement locations.
• Maintain gauge standardization, cure boxes, and chain of custody.
• Communicate results to superintendents on the spot.
