Job summary

Lake Superior Consulting seeks a Field (Cathodic Protection) Technician to join our outdoor-focused team. This entry-level role offers extensive travel across the U.S. by air or vehicle, with mileage allowances and per diem.

You'll learn from in-house experts and advance toward CP design and engineering certifications. Compensation depends on experience, with starting pay between $22 and $26 per hour and potential for significant overtime.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate degree preferred; high school diploma required.
• Willingness to travel extensively for outdoor, physically demanding work.
• Ability to operate a company vehicle and general hand/power tools.
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and critical thinking abilities.
• Commitment to safety and high-quality service.
• Good organization and attention to detail; team-focused.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, monitor, evaluate, maintain and repair CP systems.
• Work safely following company and client procedures; adhere to regulations.
• Travel extensively across the U.S. for projects with significant overtime.
• Gather data and prepare timely records and reports.
• Assist with testing equipment and system troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and management.
