Job summary

Lake Superior Consulting is seeking a Field (Cathodic Protection) Technician to join our growing team, traveling 75% of the time across the U.S. This entry-level path offers hands-on CP system work, training from in-house experts, and a route to advanced certifications in the field.

You will install, monitor, maintain, and repair CP assets, work safely, and collaborate with project managers and engineers. An outdoorsy mindset, problem-solving skills, and willingness to learn are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or associate degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to travel extensively for physically demanding outdoor work.
• Capability to operate a company vehicle, ATV/UTV, and use general hand/power tools.
• Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and troubleshooting abilities.
• Commitment to working safely and producing high quality service.
• Good organizational skills and detail oriented.
• Highly motivated and thrives in a dynamic, team-based environment.
• Desire to collaborate with project managers, engineers, and management; across offices
• Willingness to learn basic cathodic protection and AMPP standards

Responsibilities

• Work safely by adhering to LSC and client guidelines and procedures
• Prepare for planned cathodic protection projects
• Complete and maintain operator qualifications (OQs)
• Operate and use testing equipment
• Perform troubleshooting on cathodic protection systems
• Gather data, and prepare records and reports in a timely manner
• Install, maintain and repair components of a cathodic protection system
• Ensure your work is utilized with respect to company goals
• Work in compliance with all technical procedures and guidelines
