Job summary

Lake Superior Consulting is seeking a Field (Cathodic Protection) Technician to join our growing team in the United States. This entry-level role provides training from in-house experts and potential certifications within 6 months, while you gain hands-on experience in CP and AC mitigation design.

The position involves 75% travel, significant overtime, and fieldwork across various sites. We emphasize safety, teamwork, and staying at the forefront of technology, offering competitive compensation

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s or associate degrees preferred.
• Ability to travel extensively for physically demanding work in an outdoor environment.
• Capability to operate a company vehicle, ATV-UTV, and use general hand/power tools.
• Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and troubleshooting abilities.
• Commitment to working safely and producing high quality service.
• Good organizational skills and detail oriented.
• Motivated and thrives in a dynamic team-based environment.
• Desire to collaborate with project managers, engineers, and management; locally and through other office locations.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs.

Responsibilities

• Work safely by adhering to LSC and client guidelines and procedures.
• Prepare for planned cathodic protection projects.
• Complete and maintain operator qualifications (OQs).
• Operate and use testing equipment.
• Perform troubleshooting on cathodic protection systems.
• Gather data, and prepare records and reports in a timely manner.
• Install, maintain and repair components of a cathodic protection system.
• Ensure your work is utilized with respect to company goals.
• Work in compliance with all technical procedures and guidelines.
