Job summary

TRITECH Communications Inc. is seeking an Audio‑Visual Installation Technician to support installation, testing, maintenance, and repair of professional AV systems and related low‑voltage equipment.

The role reports to the Field Operations Manager and adheres to OSHA and company safety regulations on all sites. Responsibilities include mounting equipment, wiring, testing, documentation, and coordination with general contractors.

Qualifications

• Experience reading AV drawings, wiring diagrams, and vendor specs.
• Ability to read technical and general project documentation.
• Strong organization and communication skills for field work.

Responsibilities

• Install and mount AV equipment including displays, projectors, screens, speakers, microphones, cameras, and control devices.
• Read and interpret AV drawings, wiring diagrams, rack elevations, and vendor specs.
• Assist with equipment rack building, device layout, cable management, and labeling.
• Pull, test, and terminate AV cabling (CAT6/6A, HDMI, audio, fiber).
• Install wall plates, ceiling speakers, touch panels, and AV infrastructure components.
• Support AV over IP system setup and networked devices under supervision.
• Troubleshoot basic audio, video, and control issues (signal loss, no audio/video).
• Use meters and testers to validate installation quality.
• Update installation documentation and label cables clearly.
• Coordinate with other trades to support project installation requirements.
• Implement OSHA and company safety standards on all sites.
