Job summary

Archetype Infrastructure Solutions is seeking an Audio Visual (AV) Technician to install, configure, test, and maintain AV systems in commercial and data center environments. You will work with displays, projectors, video conferencing, speakers, control systems, and related infrastructure.

Reading blueprints, terminating low-voltage cabling, assembling racks, updating firmware, and testing will be routine. You will troubleshoot issues and support commissioning and customer acceptance testing

Qualifications

Experience installing or supporting commercial AV, low-voltage, or telecommunications systems.
Understanding of AV technologies, signal flow, and IP networking.
Ability to read construction drawings and installation docs.
Experience with hand/power tools and cable termination.
Strong troubleshooting and teamwork skills.
Reliable transportation and attendance; pass background checks.

Responsibilities

Install and configure AV equipment including displays, projectors, LED walls, speakers, and conferencing systems.
Pull, terminate, label, and test low-voltage cabling (CAT5e/6/6A, HDMI, fiber, coax, speaker wire).
Install equipment racks, AV hardware, mounts, cable management, and infrastructure.
Read blueprints and wiring diagrams; interpret rack elevations and docs.
Perform programming, basic config, firmware updates, and testing.
Troubleshoot audio, video, network, and control system issues.
Assist with commissioning, startup, and customer acceptance testing.
Label equipment/cabling per standards; maintain as-built documentation.
Coordinate with project managers, electricians, and other trades to stay on schedule.
Maintain clean, safe work area; comply with OSHA and site procedures.
