Job summary

Sun Chemical seeks a Tech II Service Rep to lead technical service activities across the Central US region. You will coordinate trials, manage product transitions, and advise customers on ink production processes and equipment needs.

Responsibilities include resolving customer claims, providing fitness-for-use guidance, and supporting sales with technical insights. Travel is 70% with overnight stays; a BS degree or equivalent experience is required.

Qualifications

• BS degree or 5–10 years of industry experience.
• Good verbal and written communication, analytical and mathematical skills, and creative problem solving.
• Strong knowledge MS Office and SAP.
• Intermediate skill with Gantt charts.
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects.
• High level of pressroom and printing process knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Performs technical service activities to support Sun Chemical customers with intermediate to high complexity to grow profitable business.
• Manages trial activities related to new business opportunities.
• Coordinates ramp-up of new products, including equipment installation and in-plant considerations.
• Provides product recommendations and fitness-for-use guidance aligned with end use.
• Investigates customer complaints and validates product fitness for use under equipment/process conditions.
• Supports sales in meetings to discuss claim details.
• Maintains SME knowledge through collaboration with product management and specialists.
• Documents field activity and trial reports in Salesforce and related systems.
