Job summary

Rockmount Research and Alloys, Inc. is seeking a Technical Sales Specialist to manage and grow an established customer base across North and West Texas and Central and Western Oklahoma.

This hands-on, field-based role requires welding knowledge, strong relationship-building, and a track record in growing accounts. You will develop opportunities with end-users and distributors, train dealer staff, and travel regularly to customer accounts and dealer locations while expanding Rockmount, Arctec,

Qualifications

• Hands-on welding knowledge to discuss applications and consumables.
• Field sales experience in welding or industrial settings.
• Proven ability to grow existing accounts and develop new ones.
• Strong customer development and relationship-building skills.
• Willingness to travel regularly across the territory.

Responsibilities

• Protect, manage, and grow an established customer base in the territory.
• Develop new industrial, maintenance, fabrication, and repair customers.
• Identify and pursue larger industrial, end-user, and high-volume sales opportunities.
• Manage and support dealer branches and train their sales teams.
• Join dealer calls and demonstrate products on customer visits.
• Expand adoption of Rockmount, Arctec, Workhorse, and Optrel products.
• Conduct product demonstrations and support customer trials.
• Provide responsive technical support by phone and in the field.
• Build and manage a territory plan, pipeline, and call schedule.
• Track sales activity and progress toward revenue goals.
• Assist with training and onboarding of new Rockmount sales employees.
• Travel regularly across the territory and to dealer locations.
