Location: Ideally based in Dallas, Oklahoma City, or the surrounding area
Territory: North and West Texas, as well as Central and Western Oklahoma, with select assigned accounts and dealer branches outside the core territory
Travel: Regular field travel throughout the territory and to assigned dealer locations
The Opportunity
Rockmount is seeking an experienced Technical Sales Specialist to manage and grow an established customer base while developing larger end‑user and distributor opportunities across the region.
For more than 50 years, Rockmount has built a strong reputation for providing high‑performing welding consumables, industrial solutions, technical expertise, and outstanding customer service. Our products support customers across heavy construction, mining, manufacturing, municipal services, logistics, agriculture, food production, fabrication, repair, and other industries where equipment reliability matters.
This is a hands‑on, field‑based sales and dealer‑development role for someone who understands welding, knows how to build lasting customer relationships, and enjoys identifying practical solutions to technical challenges. The successful candidate will inherit a well‑established book of business while having significant opportunity to expand sales across Rockmount, Arctec Alloys, Workhorse, and Optrel products.
Sales Portfolio and Growth Opportunity
This role offers a strong foundation for success from day one. The successful candidate will inherit an established, consistent book of business, with performance targets tied predominantly to existing sales within the territory. The focus will be on protecting and expanding these relationships while developing additional growth through new customers, dealer partnerships, and larger‑volume opportunities.
The portfolio will also include assigned dealer branches and several established accounts already generating meaningful sales. Initial growth priorities will include strengthening relationships with regional and national distribution partners, developing opportunities across their branch networks, and expanding the adoption of Rockmount, Arctec, Workhorse, and Optrel products throughout the region.
Select customers and dealer branches outside the core territory may also be assigned on an account‑by‑account basis.
