Job summary

Software Placement Group is seeking an Outside Technical Sales Representative for an established manufacturer of engineered appliance and technical components. You will serve as a key customer-facing resource, supporting programs, developing new opportunities, and guiding customers through the product lifecycle.

Travel about 70% (including international), collaborate with engineering, operations, and customer service, and help with product launches and engineering changes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
• 3–5 years of experience in technical or outside sales or a customer-facing technical role.
• Willingness to travel 70% including international travel.
• Located in or near Cleveland, OH or Chicago, IL.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary customer-facing technical sales resource for engineered products and solutions in the appliance and technical components industries.
• Support and grow existing customer programs while identifying and developing new business opportunities.
• Provide technical guidance throughout the full product lifecycle.
• Collaborate with internal engineering, operations, and customer service teams to support application requirements, product launches, and engineering changes.
