Job summary

Vertiv Corporation is seeking a Field Technician to support start-up, commissioning, integration, emergency service and troubleshooting of 480VAC bus duct systems. The role requires maintaining excellent rapport with customers and internal teams while managing your own schedule.

You will evaluate equipment conditions, perform basic electrical theory tasks, and strive for a first-time fix. A valid driver's license and basic MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• ASMET 1+ years of hands-on electrical environment.
• Basic training in electrical theory and technologies.
• Basic knowledge with electrical/electronic test equipment and fundamentals.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Standard computer skills including MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in start-up commissioning, integration, emergency service and troubleshooting of Vertiv 480VAC bus duct systems.
• Establish, promote and maintain rapport with customers, co-workers and sales representatives.
• Evaluate operating conditions of equipment.
• Interact with all levels of internal and external customers.
• Manage one's own schedule and respond to emergency calls.
• Strive to provide a first-time fix for equipment.
• Provide accurate and timely reporting of timecards, expenses, etc.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with safety policies, procedures and laws.
• Drive Continuous Improvement.
