Job summary

Renewable Energy Systems Ltd in Texas is seeking a Survey Technician I to support field surveying across RES Solar, T&D, and Preconstruction projects. You will assist in collecting field data, set up survey instruments, and carry out routine tasks under supervision, ensuring safety and quality.

This role emphasizes learning RES surveying standards, data procedures, and workflows while contributing to on-site surveying activities to complete projects within budget and rotation schedules.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform manual labor and work outdoors.
• Willingness to learn RES surveying standards and workflows.
• Basic safety compliance and teamwork.
• Capability to follow instructions and maintain quality data.

Responsibilities

• Assists with setting up and breaking down survey instruments, tripods, and equipment.
• Performs manual labor such as carrying stakes, setting pins, clearing brush, and maintaining work areas.
• Supports field data collection including construction staking, topographic surveys, and as-built documentation.
• Maintains and organizes survey tools, supplies, and control point records.
• Operates company vehicles and equipment safely in varying site and weather conditions.
• Communicates daily with the Crew Chief to receive assignments, report progress, and identify needs.
• Participates in training and development activities to build foundational surveying knowledge.
• Attends work regularly and punctually, as scheduled or expected.
