Job summary

RES is seeking a Survey Technician I to support field surveying operations across Solar, T&D, and Preconstruction projects. You will assist in collecting field data, setting up survey instruments, and performing routine tasks under supervision. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and learning RES surveying standards and workflows.

You will contribute to on-site surveying activities, ensuring timely completion within budget while maintaining data integrity and proper equipment handling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Part 107 license preferred.
• Less than 1 year construction surveying experience preferred.
• Less than 1 year AutoCAD & TBC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with setting up and breaking down survey instruments, tripods, and equipment.
• Supports field data collection including construction staking, topographic surveys, and as-built documentation.
• Maintains and organizes survey tools, supplies, and control point records.
• Operates company vehicles and equipment safely in varying site and weather conditions.
• Communicates daily with the Crew Chief to receive assignments, report progress, and identify needs.
• Participates in training and development activities to build foundational surveying knowledge.
• Attends work regularly and punctually, as scheduled or expected.
• Complies with Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct, and Company Policies & Procedures.
