Job summary

Terra Energy is seeking a field-based survey role to capture accurate measurements and assess site conditions for residential solar installations. You will document details essential for system design and project planning, acting as the eyes and ears of the operation on-site.

The position requires independence in the field, reliability, and strong communication with internal teams. You will travel locally daily, use smartphones and optional drone tools, and ensure surveys meet safety and quality

Qualifications

• Experience in solar, construction, roofing, surveying or related field.
• Ability to climb ladders and work at heights.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record; able to travel locally daily.
• OSHA 10 or drone certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site surveys for residential solar installations.
• Measure roof dimensions, pitch, azimuth, shading and structural conditions.
• Review electrical panels, meter locations, and interconnection points.
• Capture site photos, notes, and drone imagery for internal teams.
• Identify installation challenges such as roof damage or obstructions.
• Enter survey data into company software and CRM.
• Coordinate with sales, design, permitting and installation teams.
• Maintain tools and equipment; follow safety protocols.
• Represent Terra Energy professionally during site visits.
