Job summary

SSMC is seeking a Field Survey Technician to support field surveying activities, including maintenance of survey equipment, setting up points, and tape and level work. This role requires physical stamina and the ability to work on active construction sites.

You will load gear, travel to remote sites, follow safety guidelines, wear PPE, and collaborate with the Crew Chief to ensure accurate data collection and timely project completion.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be able to obtain badges/certifications to enter sites.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to work in teams and travel to remote sites.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload survey equipment and prepare daily materials.
• Set up backsights, foresights and establish survey points.
• Operate survey-grade instruments and take accurate measurements.
• Assist on utility projects and perform light office tasks as needed.
• Maintain safety protocols and wear PPE.
