Job summary

SSMC is seeking a Survey Rod Person to support field surveying operations. You will load and unload equipment, set up backsights/foresights, and perform measurements with tape and level. The role requires maintaining survey instruments and assisting in locating property corners.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and be willing to obtain necessary site badges. Overtime and travel to remote sites may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be able to obtain site badges/certifications as needed.
• Experience or training in surveying methods is desired.

Responsibilities

• Assist with field surveying activities as directed by Crew Chief.
• Load/unload survey equipment and ensure materials for tasks.
• Set up backsights and foresights; perform measurements with tape.
• Maintain and operate survey grade instruments.
• Assist in locating property corners and driving stakes.
• Travel to remote field locations and work overtime as needed.
