Job summary

SSMC is seeking a Survey Assistant in Orlando, Florida to support field surveying activities and maintain survey equipment. You will assist the party chief, set up instruments, collect data, and help ensure accurate measurements for plans and reports.

Responsibilities include loading gear, maintaining safety procedures, and coordinating with the crew to complete daily tasks. A high school diploma and willingness to travel are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year survey experience as Rodman or Instrument Man.
• Ability to obtain site badges/certifications as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with field surveying activities and data collection.
• Load/unload survey equipment and setup instruments.
• Maintain and operate survey-grade instruments and safety gear.
• Support crew chief and guide Rodman as needed.
• Assist with office tasks and travel as required.
