Job summary

The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services is seeking a Human Services Technician in Odessa to assist CPI investigators and support staff. You will help with transportation, visitation supervision, and required documentation while coordinating with caseworkers.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma (or equivalent), plus related clerical or social services experience and the ability to travel up to 75% of the time.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or equivalent.
• One-year full-time social services, clerical, secretarial, administrative support, general office, or FPS experience.
• Thirty semester hours from an accredited college or university.

Responsibilities

• Provides transportation for clients to appointments as requested by caseworkers and/or Unit Supervisor.
• Observes and/or supervises parent and child visits.
• Completes forms and documentation concerning client contact; data entry into agency systems.
• Maintains outgoing paper/electronic appointment calendar for scheduling requests by caseworkers/supervisor.
• Performs clerical duties and supports unit operations.
• Supports cultural diversity and attends work regularly as per policy.
