Job summary

The Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) in Bryan, TX, is hiring a Human Services Technician to assist CPI investigations, transport clients, supervise visits, and handle clerical tasks. The role requires a valid Texas driver’s license and willingness to travel up to 85% of the time.

Responsibilities include documenting services, scheduling, and coordinating with DFPS staff and partner organizations. Overtime may be required; background and driving checks are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or equivalent.
• One-year full-time social services, clerical, secretarial, administrative support, general office, or FPS experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide transportation for clients to/from appointments as requested by caseworkers.
• Observe and supervise parent/child visits.
• Complete forms and document client contact in agency systems (IMPACT, etc.).
• Maintain appointment calendar and assist with clerical duties and scheduling.
• Support unit operations and ensure compliance with agency policies.
