Job summary

North Country Business Products in Duluth, MN is seeking a Field Support Technician to provide hands-on, on-site technical support for grocery, hospitality, and retail clients. You will troubleshoot hardware, software, and networking issues, install and deploy advanced retail systems, and travel to client locations with a company vehicle.

After 6 months you may become eligible for our Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), giving you ownership in the company as you solve problems and drive uptime

Qualifications

• Hands-on computer and technology experience.
• Experience with IT, networking, Wi‑Fi, and basic troubleshooting.
• Willingness to travel to client locations and work on-site.

What You'll Do

Technical Excellence:

• Learn POS systems through our comprehensive training program
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and networking issues remotely and on-site

What We're Looking For

We’re looking for someone with hands‑on computer and technology experience who enjoys troubleshooting and working with hardware and software. Experience or familiarity with IT, networking, Wi‑Fi, computer hardware, and basic technical troubleshooting is a plus.

If you’re comfortable working with technology, figuring out how things work, and solving problems, we’d love to hear from you!

Must Have:

• Valid driver's license with a clean record.
• Self-motivated problem‑solver who can troubleshoot issues independently.
• Networking fundamentals — understanding of basic networking concepts such as Ethernet, Wi‑Fi, IP addresses, routers, switches, and connectivity issues.
• Comfortable providing hands‑on technical support at client locations
