Job summary

Vestas Field Support Lead is a key role overseeing the Field Support Coordinators and Tool Coordinators on wind project sites. You will guide safety, training, and process adherence while coordinating field teams across multiple sites to ensure timely project delivery.

You will mentor FSCs and TCs, drive continuous improvement, and partner with Field Support Managers to address staffing, scheduling, and safety needs, including travel as required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Vestas wind site support experience with project management exposure.
• Experience using SAP for dispatch, stock keeping, and planning functions.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and ensure adherence to standard procedures.
• LEAN experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coordinate, and develop field support staff (3–5 Vestas employees and 3–5 contractors).
• Provide direction, guidance, workload prioritization, and resource allocation.
• Align efforts across projects and sites for efficient operations and delivery.
• Champion safety policies and environmental stewardship initiatives.
• Maintain a safe, organized work environment and lead daily safety meetings.
• Train and mentor FSCs and TCs; identify skill gaps and coach accordingly.
• Train third-party contractors on FSC/TC processes and expectations.
• Promote continuous learning and knowledge sharing across the organization.
• Ensure compliance with processes and work instructions; document NCRs in SAP.
• Support improvement efforts by identifying process optimization opportunities.
• Collaborate with Field Support Managers on personnel, scheduling, and cost efficiency.
• Provide project status updates and communicate with leadership.
• Participate in project closeout audits and ensure proper documentation.
