Job summary

Community Access, Inc. in New York City is seeking a Field Supervisor to lead and supervise our maintenance workforce across multiple properties, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and regulatory compliance.

You will oversee work orders, preventive maintenance, apartment turnovers, and performance metrics, coordinate with other departments, and support resident satisfaction while preserving assets and aligning with organizational goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate's degree, technical certification, or trade school training preferred.
• Seven (7) to ten (10) years of building maintenance, facilities management, or property operations experience.
• Minimum three (3) years supervisory experience.
• Experience supervising multiple sites and maintenance teams preferred.
• Experience within affordable housing, supportive housing, or multifamily housing preferred.
• Must be fingerprinted and cleared by the New York State Justice Center.
• Must be able to regularly lift and carry items up to 100 lbs.
• Certificates: Supervision of Fire Alarm Systems, S-95; Citywide Fire Guard for Impairment, F-01; Citywide Sprinkler Systems, S-12; Citywide Standpipe Systems, S-13.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership and supervision of the maintenance workforce.
• Ensure consistent maintenance and building standards across the portfolio.
• Oversee work orders, preventive maintenance, and apartment turnovers.
• Monitor regulatory compliance and safety requirements.
• Coordinate with Property Management, Supportive Services, and other departments.
• Document maintenance activities and use agency technology for tracking.
