Job summary

Urban Resource Institute seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to lead on-site repairs and preventive maintenance across our facilities in New York City. You will manage maintenance staff and contractors, plan repairs, and ensure work meets quality and safety standards.

The role requires 3+ years in supervisory maintenance within residential or commercial buildings, knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry, and strong communication skills. MS Office proficiency is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of building maintenance supervision in residential or commercial settings.
• Basic knowledge of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, drywall and painting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Outlook.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff and contractors to complete building repairs.
• Coordinate scheduled maintenance and responsiveness to service requests.
• Ensure work is performed to high standards and safety guidelines.
• Train and review work of maintenance staff.
• Monitor supplies and equipment inventories.
