Job summary

RockBridge Search is seeking a Superintendent to lead daily field operations, coordinate trades, maintain schedules, and ensure quality and safety on busy Tampa-area job sites.

You’ll build strong relationships with owners, inspectors, and subcontractors, track progress, and drive on-time project closeout while upholding professional standards and safety expectations. This role rewards hands-on leadership, clear communication, and accountability in a fast-paced construction environment.

Qualifications

• Several years of construction field leadership experience.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing, scheduling, and field coordination.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documents.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Strong knowledge of construction safety practices and jobsite standards.
• Proactive approach to identifying and resolving problems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily field operations from mobilization through project completion.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and field personnel.
• Develop, maintain, and communicate project schedules to keep work progressing.
• Review plans, specifications, drawings, and project documents for accuracy and constructability.
• Conduct regular jobsite meetings and communicate priorities, expectations, and upcoming activities.
• Monitor manpower, materials, equipment, and productivity.
• Coordinate sequencing of trades to keep the project moving efficiently.
• Identify potential schedule issues before they become full-blown problems.
• Maintain a clean, organized, professional, and productive jobsite.
• Enforce company safety policies and project-specific safety requirements.
• Perform quality-control inspections throughout the construction process.
• Identify deficiencies and ensure corrective work is completed properly and promptly.
• Work closely with Project Managers and other leadership to address project challenges.
• Track progress and communicate updates, delays, changes, and field conditions.
• Coordinate inspections and assist with permitting requirements as needed.
• Review subcontractor work for compliance with plans, specifications, and contractual requirements.
• Help manage punch-list activities and project closeout.
• Maintain accurate daily reports, documentation, photographs, and field records.
• Build strong working relationships with subcontractors and trade partners.
• Represent the company professionally with owners, clients, inspectors, architects, engineers, and project stakeholders.
• Keep the team informed, focused, and moving in the same direction.
