Job summary

Buildings By Design is seeking a Field Superintendent to lead daily field operations on commercial construction projects. You will oversee safety, quality, and schedule adherence while coordinating subcontractors and inspectors to keep work on track.

We value hands-on leadership, strong communication, and a good grasp of building systems to guide teams from pre-construction to project closeout. This role requires a valid driver's license and a commitment to on-site oversight.

Qualifications

• Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: AS degree in Business Administration, Construction Management or similar.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage a rolling three (3) week look-ahead schedule for all trades and milestones.
• Oversee field execution to ensure safety, quality, and craftsmanship.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and inspectors to stay on track and within scope.
• Conduct and document required inspections and quality checks using project management software.
• Collaborate with project managers, clients, and architects to solve problems in real time.
• Monitor jobsite progress and proactively communicate issues or delays.
