Job summary

Buildings By Design LLC is seeking a Field Superintendent to oversee daily field operations on commercial construction projects, ensuring safety compliance, quality, and schedule adherence. You will lead subcontractors and coordinate with project managers and architects to keep projects running smoothly from start to finish.

Ideal candidates will have 3+ years of field supervisory experience, a driver’s license, and OSHA CPR certifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• AS degree in Business Admin, Construction Management or similar preferred.
• Minimum 3 years field supervisory experience.
• Preferred 5+ years supervisory experience on projects > $5M.
• Driver's license required; Heavy Equipment Operator certification.
• OSHA 30 and CPR certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a rolling 3-week look-ahead schedule for trades and milestones.
• Oversee field execution to meet safety, quality, and craftsmanship standards.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and inspectors to stay on track.
• Conduct inspections and quality control checks using project management software.
• Collaborate with project managers, clients, and architects to solve problems in real time.
• Monitor jobsite progress and communicate issues or delays proactively.
