Job summary

GBA Builders in Northern Virginia seeks a Field Superintendent to oversee job site operations, safety, quality, and coordination with subs on projects typically under $5 million, with potential to serve as Project Superintendent on smaller bids.

The role requires a construction management degree with 3+ years experience, OSHA 30, strong communication, familiarity with MS Project and Bluebeam, and willingness to travel nationwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field and 3+ years of relevant experience.
• OSHA 30-hour certification is required; First Aid/CPR is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication with trade partners and project teams.
• Familiarity with pull planning, MS Project, and short-term look-ahead scheduling.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate construction activities and logistics across job sites.
• Coordinate with contractors on ASIs, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation.
• Ensure subcontractors meet safety, health, and environmental standards.
• Maintain quality-control and track inspections with authorities.
• Create and update daily logs and weekly look-ahead schedules.
• Lead daily huddle and weekly coordination meetings; travel as needed.
