Job summary

Hanwha Vision America seeks a Field Application Engineer to provide accurate specification interpretations that drive the technical evaluation portion of the sales process. This role collaborates with sales teams, dealers, consultants, and end users within the region.

You will perform system design, site surveys, BOMs, training, and technical presentations, while supporting opportunities in a technical capacity to secure sales.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent.
• 4+ years in a customer-facing pre-sales role, preferably in network video or physical security markets.
• Certified Security Product Professional certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead all pre-sales activities within the territory, collaborating with sales teams to support end-user opportunities.
• Execute comprehensive system designs including site surveys, BOM creation, and third-party integration.
• Serve as the first-line technical resource for key accounts and end users.
• Conduct technology and customer-specific training sessions and deliver sales presentations.
• Collaborate across departments to meet performance goals and exceed expectations.
• Assist with technical escalations and provide feedback to the support team.
• Represent Hanwha Vision America at industry trade shows and events as needed.
• Provide weekly updates on sales activities and opportunities for improvement.
• Travel regionally and nationally up to 70%, with occasional short-notice trips.
