Job summary

Hanwha Vision America, an affiliate of Hanwha Group, is seeking a Field Application Engineer in Irvine, CA. The role focuses on pre-sales support, system design, and customer engagement, with responsibilities including technical presentations and cross-department collaboration.

The candidate should have 4+ years in a customer-facing pre-sales role in network video or physical security, and may hold Certified Security Product Professional certification. Travel up to 70% is required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in a customer-facing pre-sales role within network video or physical security markets.
• Certified Security Product Professional (e.g., Hanwha WAVE, Genetec, Milestone) is preferred.
• Strong technical acumen with ability to explain complex solutions to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience with system design, product testing, and proof of concept development for complex systems.

Responsibilities

• Pre-Sales Technical Support: lead all pre-sales activities within the territory and support end-user opportunities from a technical perspective.
• System Design & Integration: execute site surveys, equipment placement, BOM creation, schematic drawings, and third-party product integration.
• Customer Engagement: act as the first-line technical resource for key accounts and demonstrate Hanwha Vision America products.
• Training & Presentations: conduct technology and customer-specific training sessions and deliver sales presentations.
• Cross-Departmental Collaboration: work across departments to meet performance goals.
• Technical Escalations: assist with escalation of technical issues and feedback to support teams.
• Industry Representation: represent Hanwha Vision America at trade shows and events.
• Reporting: provide weekly updates on sales activities.
• Travel Requirements: up to 70% travel regionally and nationally.
