Job summary

Siemens is seeking a Solution Engineer, Field Service to support energy management hardware and software across the Midwest region. You will install, commission, and troubleshoot hardware and software, traveling extensively to customer sites and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Ideal candidates hold a technical degree and have PLC programming experience, plus knowledge of WinPM.Net, Power Monitoring Expert, PowerScada and related tools.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or Computer Engineering, or 4 years field service power distribution engineering experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
• Must possess the ability to travel 80% across the US.
• Eligible to work in the US with no sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Implements hardware and software for energy management/monitoring solutions and Sm@rtGear.
• Understands and applies safety procedures.
• Follows basic standard project documentation for project completion.
• Identifies problems as they occur and takes proactive steps to solve them.
• Independently performs basic tasks and functions for professional field work.
• Prepare explanations to enable proper interpretation/evaluation of specifications, performance characteristics, or other technical data.
