Job summary

Siemens is seeking a Solution Engineer to join the Field Service team in the Midwest region (TX, IL, OH, CO, WI, MN, MI, GA). The role focuses on hardware/software integration for Electrical Power Monitoring and Sm@rtGear commissioning, enabling remote monitoring and control.

The position requires a BS in Electrical/Manufacturing/Computer Engineering (or 4 years field service experience), 80% US travel, and US work authorization without sponsorship.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or Computer Engineering or 4 years of field service power distribution engineering experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
• Must possess the ability to travel 80% across the US.
• Must be eligible to work in the US with no sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Implements hardware and software for energy management/monitoring solutions and Sm@rtGear
• Understands and applies safety procedures.
• Follows basic standard project documentation for project completion.
• Identifies problems as they occur and takes proactive steps to solve them.
• Independently performs basic tasks and functions for professional field work.
• Prepare explanations to enable proper interpretation/evaluation of specifications, performance characteristics, or other technical data.
