Job summary

Siemens is seeking a Solution Engineer to join our Field Service team in the Midwest region. You will help integrate hardware and software for energy management and the SmartGear platform, including setup and commissioning of electrical apparatus, with responsibilities spanning design, testing, and on-site support.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical/Manufacturing/Computer Engineering or 4 years of field service power distribution engineering experience in lieu of a degree.
• Willingness to travel up to 80% across the US.
• Eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Implements hardware and software for energy management/monitoring solutions and Sm@rtGear.
• Understands and applies safety procedures.
• Follows basic standard project documentation for project completion.
• Identifies problems as they occur and takes proactive steps to solve them.
• Independently performs basic tasks and functions for professional field work.
• Prepare explanations to enable proper interpretation/evaluation of specifications, performance characteristics, or other technical data.
