Job summary

Siemens is seeking a Solution Engineer to join the Field Service team in the North East region. The role focuses on hardware/software integration for energy management and the setup of Sm@rtGear electrical equipment. You will travel across the US to install, commission, and support solutions in diverse environments.

The position requires a BS in Electrical/Manufacturing/Computer Engineering or related field and up to 80% travel. Candidates must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or Computer Engineering or 4 years of field service power distribution engineering experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
• Willingness to travel 80% across the US.
• Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Implements hardware and software for energy management/monitoring solutions and Sm@rtGear.
• Understands and applies safety procedures.
• Follows basic standard project documentation for project completion.
• Identifies problems as they occur and takes proactive steps to solve them.
• Independently performs basic tasks and functions for professional field work.
• Prepare explanations to enable proper interpretation/evaluation of specifications, performance characteristics, or other technical data.
