Siemens in the United States is seeking a Solution Engineer for Field Service in the North East Region (NY, PA, NJ, MA, DE, ME, CT, RI). The role covers integrating hardware and software for Electrical Power Monitoring and the setup of Sm@rtGear equipment to help customers monitor energy use and costs.

The position emphasizes safety, documentation, and proactive problem solving, with independent field tasks and the ability to interpret technical specifications.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or Computer Engineering or 4 years of field service power distribution engineering experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
• Must possess the ability to travel 80% across the US.
• Must be eligible to work in the US with no sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Implements hardware and software for energy management/monitoring solutions and Sm@rtGear
• Understands and applies safety procedures.
• Follows basic standard project documentation for project completion.
• Identifies problems as they occur and takes proactive steps to solve them.
• Independently performs basic tasks and functions for professional field work.
• Prepare explanations to enable proper interpretation/evaluation of specifications, performance characteristics, or other technical data.
