Job summary

Legrand is seeking a Field Sales Engineer in Farmingdale, NY for its Data Center Power & Control team. You will blend technical design with sales acuity, focusing on cabinets, containment, and system integrations. Travel up to 10% across the US and Canada to support RVPs and Territory Managers.

You will deliver technical design solutions, run customer engagements, and participate in proposals and demonstrations. An engineering degree with relevant experience is required.

Qualifications

Associates degree in technical drafting or equivalent required.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience required.
5+ years in sales support in IT/data center manufacturing; 2+ years sheet metal design preferred.

Responsibilities

Design cooling solutions for cabinets and containment and related systems.
Deliver technical presentations and training to customers and partners.
Provide pre-sales technical support and respond to product queries; assist in RFP responses.
Support sales teams with demonstrations, design discussions, and customer meetings.
Identify market opportunities and provide feedback to product/engineering teams.
