Job summary

Clean Harbors in San Jose, CA is seeking a Field Services Technician I to join our safety-conscious team. This role will be active in the field responsible for hazardous waste clean-up, site remediation, equipment decontamination and handling of hazardous materials.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform physical tasks as described in responsibilities.
• On-call availability for emergency responses on rotating basis.
• Completion of background check, drug test, and physical per position.
• Respiratory protection standards compliance as required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure health and safety is the top priority by following policies.
• Engage in strenuous physical labor including lifting and pulling heavy objects.
• Operate light and heavy equipment and use hand tools and powered industrial tools.
• Wear and use PPE correctly (respirators, protective gear).
• Work in various temperatures indoors and outdoors; handle hazardous materials.
• Assist in field sampling activities and calibration of meters.
• Climb ladders/scaffolding and work from trucks, tanks, and containers.
• Be available for on-call emergency response on a rotating basis.
