Job summary

Builders FirstSource is seeking an entry-level Field Service Associate to address customer site issues, inspect workmanship and products, and support our service team in delivering timely, cost-effective resolutions.

You will report to the Customer Service group, collaborate with third-party repair vendors, and help determine repairs or replacements to restore quality on site. On-the-job training will be provided with opportunities to learn product specifications and QA checks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Entry-level position with on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the condition of workmanship and products at the customer site at all stages of construction.
• Investigate and report findings to the Customer Service team.
• Recommend replacement or repair of defective products based on cost-effectiveness and guidelines.
• Negotiate and approve third-party repair or adjustments; inspect completed work for quality.

Job description

Addresses construction service and product issues at the customer’s site in order to ensure that customer complaints regarding the quality and reliability are resolved in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.

• Investigates/examines the condition of company building workmanship and products on the customer’s site at all stages of construction based on concerns raised by the customer; reports back to the Customer Service team on findings.
• Recommends replacement or repair of defective products based on customer service guidelines related to efficiency and cost effectiveness.
• Negotiates and approves third party repair/adjustment; inspects completed work for quality adherence.

Requirements: High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED), or equivalent combination of education and experience. This is an entry level position where the incumbent will receive on-the-job training.
