Job summary

Apex Water and Process Inc. is seeking an Equipment Technician to support field operations and service teams in Arizona. You will install, calibrate, and troubleshoot water treatment equipment, program control systems, and train customer teams while following safety rules.

You’ll also document service visits and report to customers and management. The role requires strong mechanical skills, ability to lift up to 100 lbs, travel within Arizona up to 10% overnight, and occasional evenings/weekends

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with plumbing, maintenance, general repair, or similar work.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot mechanical systems.
• Ability to solder, copper plumbing, and Schedule 80 PVC.
• Ability to run and land low-voltage and signal wiring.
• Valid driver's license.
• Comfortable with basic computer use, including Microsoft Office tools.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to multitask.
• Ability to work independently and with minimal oversight.
• Ability to work in environments that may be noisy or non-air-conditioned.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods, and lift between 50 - 100 lbs.
• Ability and willingness to travel within Arizona and be away from home for overnight travel up to 10% of the time to support other regions.
• Ability to work occasional evening and weekend hours as needed to support business needs.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to and support all safety policies and guidelines.
• Assist in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of water treatment equipment, helping to make sure everything is set up correctly with the right connections and leak prevention.
• Learn and apply chemical dosing and testing to help with the start-up and troubleshooting of water treatment equipment.
• Start up, troubleshoot, and operate equipment for customers, while teaching their teams how to use the equipment effectively.
• Use basic knowledge of electrical systems to help operate equipment and troubleshoot any issues.
• Travel to client locations to provide hands-on assistance with installing, setting up, and training others on our equipment, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
• Keep detailed records of service activities, including what was fixed and any recommendations for future improvements, and submit these to internal management and customers within 24 hrs. of completing the service visits.
• Travel within Arizona and be away from home for overnight travel up to 10% of the time to support other regions.
