Job summary

Apex Water and Process is seeking an Equipment Technician to support the Field Team with installing and setting up plumbing and equipment, calibrating control systems, and handling chemical dosing. Training is provided, and the role emphasizes hands-on problem solving.

Travel to client sites across PA and surrounding states is required, with some overnight stays. The position offers a stable daytime schedule, benefits, and opportunities for professional growth within a team-oriented culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1+ year of experience in plumbing, maintenance, general repair, water treatment, or related work.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot mechanical systems.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Willingness to travel within PA, NJ, DE, MD, DC, northern VA, and parts of NY (occasional overnight travel).
• Comfortable with basic computer use, including Microsoft Office tools.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work varied hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist in installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of water treatment equipment.
• Learn chemical dosing and testing during startup and troubleshooting.
• Startup, operate, and troubleshoot equipment for customers; train their team on use.
• Assist with electrical-related equipment operation and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with regional teams on equipment changes and system operations.
• Travel to client locations to install, set up, and train others on equipment, including overnight trips when needed.
• Document service activities and recommendations for management.
