Job summary

Apex Water and Process is seeking a Field Service Specialist to troubleshoot and service industrial water and process equipment. The role involves extensive travel, up to 75%, to install, commission, and support custom systems, with hands-on technical work at customer sites and in our St.

Michael, MN facility. Ideal candidates have strong electrical/mechanical aptitude, PLC knowledge, and excellent communication skills, enabling effective support and training for customers while coordinating

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong electrical aptitude and experience with industrial electrical systems.
• Knowledge of PLCs, motor controls, instrumentation, industrial wiring.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams, blueprints, and equipment drawings.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose issues in the field.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for customer interaction.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 75% to customer sites.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in non-temperature-controlled environments.

Responsibilities

• Travel up to 75% to install, commission, troubleshoot, and support equipment.
• Serve as onsite technical contact for customers during field visits.
• Start up, troubleshoot, test, and operate equipment; train customer personnel.
• Diagnose equipment issues using electrical, PLC, instrumentation knowledge.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Service teams to resolve field issues.
• Maintain accurate documentation of field service activities and recommendations.
• Support equipment production at the St. Michael facility when not traveling.
