Job summary

Xylem is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform service activities at customer sites, including troubleshooting and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and diesel systems, with emphasis on safety and customer satisfaction.

This hybrid, full-time role supports multiple locations across the U.S., including Schaumburg, IL, and requires strong problem-solving, teamwork, and the ability to train junior technicians.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain DOT Medical card.
• Clean driving record.
• Work experience preferred.
• Able to pass background check & pre-employment drug screen.
• Water treatment experience highly preferred.
• Plumbing/HVAC experience A PLUS.
• 3 to 7 years of technical work experience.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and execute field service activities at customer sites.
• Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and diesel systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance and manage parts inventory.
• Interface with customers and work across multiple locations.
• Maintain safe working environment and company property.
• Lead/coach junior technicians when needed.
