Job summary

WOW! is hiring a Field Service Technician to install and repair phone, internet, and video services at customers’ homes and small businesses.

You will perform new connects, relocations, and maintenance while training customers on equipment and ensuring quality service. The role requires a high school diploma, strong customer interaction skills, and the ability to work independently in varying environments, including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to interact with customers and communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to read street maps and measure distances.
• Ability to operate field service test equipment and handheld tools.
• Ability to maintain records and logs.
• Ability to handle escalations and time-critical issues.
• Flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform new connects, reconnects, disconnects, upgrades, downgrades and changes of service for phone, internet or video.
• Install and relocate outlets and equipment.
• Install or remove converters, cable modems, wiring.
• Train customers on proper use of equipment.
• Troubleshoot system, monitor and repair faults from tap to consumer device.
• Maintain system security and perform safety checks.
