Job summary

WOW! is hiring a Field Service Technician to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain WOW! services while delivering an exceptional customer experience. You will work with internet, video, and phone services, run wiring, and service customer equipment in diverse settings.

The role requires strong troubleshooting skills, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work evenings or weekends. A company vehicle, tools, PPE, and comprehensive benefits are provided to support your career growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to explain technical information to non-technical customers
• Ability to operate handheld technology and field service applications
• Ability to read maps and navigate service areas
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed
• Experience using testing equipment such as Signal Level Meters
• Experience using Volt-Ohm Meters

Responsibilities

• Installing, upgrading, reconnecting, disconnecting, and modifying internet, video, and phone services
• Installing and relocating outlets, converters, modems, and customer equipment
• Running interior and exterior wiring
• Diagnosing signal, picture quality, and connectivity issues
• Troubleshooting from the customer device all the way to the network tap
• Repairing and replacing network components and coaxial cable
• Performing speed tests, ping tests, trace routes, and network diagnostics
• Training customers on the proper use of equipment and services
• Ensuring compliance with FCC, NESC, OSHA, and WOW! standards
• Maintaining company vehicles, tools, and equipment
• Completing work orders and documentation accurately
• Delivering outstanding customer service at every interaction
