Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Field Service Technician for its Solar and Storage Solutions in the USA. You will lead on-site service, commissioning and maintenance of solar inverters and energy storage systems, while directing skilled labor to meet safety and quality standards.

The role requires 2+ years in power electronics field service, memory of lean practices, and 70% travel. Based in the USA, domestic travel is expected. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum college degree (Bachelors or Associates Engineering preferred) or equivalent years experience.
• Minimum 2 years of power electronics field service, manufacturing, or test experience (GE experience preferred).
• Solar, Storage, and/or power electronics product knowledge and business process experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site services and technical direction for installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, repair, operation, and maintenance of power electronics including solar inverters and battery energy storage systems.
• Work scope includes electrical, instrumentation, and control system work, cable routing, loop checks, calibration, safety and alarm settings, software installation and testing.
• Lead direct service work and guide skilled labor to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes in line with GE procedures.
• Drive customer experience through effective communication, safety, quality, and delivery for services products.
• Meet GE business expectations by leading safety, quality, schedule, and cost processes for service obligations.
