Job summary

Power Electronics is seeking a Field Services Technician to ensure reliable operation of utility-scale solar and battery inverter systems. You’ll perform start-up, commissioning, and on-site maintenance at photovoltaic plants across the United States, diagnosing faults and replacing components as needed.

The role calls for 2–3 years in field service with electrical equipment, a Journeyman/Master Electrician license or higher, and the ability to travel.

Qualifications

• Journeyman or Master’s Electrician license required.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in electrical/electronics engineering or related technical field.
• Minimum 2–3 years in field service, commissioning, or maintenance of industrial electrical equipment.
• Experience with solar inverters, MV equipment and power electronics desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform start-up and commissioning of solar inverters at photovoltaic plants.
• Ensure systems are configured and operating according to specifications.
• Diagnose and repair inverter faults in the field.
• Replace components such as MV transformers, switchgear, electronic boards, fuses, fans and filters.
• Conduct scheduled maintenance and updates (software/hardware).
• Submit accurate daily field reports detailing work performed.
